Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 225

A wonderful Wednesday welcome to the newest sketch in town from My Favorite Things!

Below you'll find Sketch 225. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.

Heather Hoffman MFT Guest Designer April 2105
Our April Guest Designer Heather Hoffman is continuing to inspire with her sweet and trendy cards. She has such an eye for pretty color combinations!

Heather admits to being a little stumped with the Spring Garden Die-namics, but I think you will agree that her interpretation turned out quite lovely. As she quipped, "I love a good challenge!" Perhaps you've been on the fence about ordering it, but her card (and Veronica's) just might change your mind!

Let's see what Heather saw when she checked out this week's sketch!

How Sweet of You Card from Heather Hoffman featuring LJD You're the Sweetest stamp set and Spring Garden Die-namics

Heather used the strip in the lower third of the sketch as her focal point with her sentiment and potted flowers. I love how the stitched vellum created a soft background, and the stitching makes it feel homey and perfectly handmade.

The Challenge Team keeps amazing me with their innovation and talent! Let's see what they are up to this week.

Hello Friend Card from Alice Wertz featuring Modern Blooms stamp set and Friend Die-namics

Alice turned the sketch on the side and created a GLORIOUS floral panel using the Modern Blooms stamp set. This card makes me want to quit writing this blog and head down to my girl cave to create! *practices restraint*

Fancy Hi Card from Erin Lee Schreiner featuring Accent It: Feathers and Arrows, Ride the Wave, and Happy Hellos Die-namics

How about a little bit of oooooh la la from Erin Lee? This stunner is a die cutting extravaganza using an array of Die-namics. I love how she used the Ride the Wave die to add a lilt to the straight rectangle in the sketch.

Polka Dot Celebrate Card from Jill Dewey Hawkins featuring Jumbo Dot Cover-up , Polka Dot Cover-up, and Stitched Basic Edges Die-namics

Apparently Jill was feeling dotty this week! She used two Cover-up Die-namics featuring different dot sizes (Jumbo Dot and Polka Dot) and then cut the Polka Dot Cover-up at an interesting angle with the Stitched Basic Edges Die-namics. This would be a fun way to use up your scraps!

Smartie Pants Card from Miriam Pranter featuring the Birdie Brown Class Act stamp set and Jumbled Letters stencil

Miriam's little schoolgirl is looking cute in this direct take on the sketch. What an adorable card for a sweet little lass who made it through another school year! I love how the enamel dots and apple correlate to the star placement in the sketch.

Sending Happy Card from Vera Wirianta Yates featuring the Birdie Brown Sunflower Sweetheart and Totally Happy stamp sets

Vera's sweet little miss sunshine from the Sunflower Sweetheart stamp set is standing right on the seam of the green and white making her appear grounded and not floating. I love how her hat goes off the side of the card just a little bit giving her a 3-D appearance.

Gnome One Else Card from Veronica Zalis featuring the Birdie Brown You Gnome Me stamp set and DIe-namics and Spring Garden Die-namics

Veronica shares another fun horizontal version of the sketch. And really WHAT could be cuter than a gnome with a polka dotted shirt dancing on the potting table? Not much, I say. Not. Much.
