Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 264

It's great to see so many of you joining us here for our sketch challenges. We hope that you continue to create with us throughout 2016!

Below you'll find Sketch 264. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.

We're glad to welcome back Yana Smakula as our January Guest Designer here at the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Blog!
Let's see how Yana interpreted this week's sketch:

Valentine Monkey Wish Card by Yana Smakula featuring the Label Maker Love and Laina Lamb Design Count the Stars stamp sets, Cheeky Monkey stamp set and Die-namics, Stitched Heart STAX and Laina Lamb Design Stars & Wishes Die-namics #mftstamps

This simple sketch allows a wide variety of interpretations as you'll see in the projects posted today. Yana opened up the circle into a fun and festive heart shaker filled with pretty sequins. The opening made a perfect place for an adorable Cheeky Monkey to wave hello!

The My Favorite Things Creative Team has been busy getting creative! Let's see what they have up their sleeves for Sketch 264!

I Like You Monkey Card by Anna Kossakovskaya featuring Cheeky Monkey stamp set and Die-namics and Stitched Cloud Edges Die-namics #mftstamps

Anna Kossakovskaya's Cheeky Monkey looks like he's in banana heaven in this fun take on Sketch 264! Nestled in imaginative green clouds against a coral sky, this sweet monkey brings a whole lot of fun to Anna's card design. Imagine that his head is the circle in the sketch. Do you see it?

Amazing Day Card by Francine Vuillème featuring the Top Dog, Amazing, Birdie Brown Adorable Elephants, and Miss Tiina Happy Pandas and Tweet on You stamp sets and the Grassy Fields and Stitched Cloud Edges Die-namics #mftstamps

Francine Vuillème uses a colorful bouquet of balloons in the place of the circle in the sketch. Here's what's really fun about Francine's design — she used elements from five different stamp sets in creating this card. Be on the look out for little bits and pieces that can come together to create a scene. This doggie from the Top Dog stamp set seems to be enjoying a beautiful spring day.

Birthday Dog Card by Karin Åkesdotter featuring the Birdie Brown You Make My Tail Wag stamp set and Die-namics, Birdie Brown Adorable Elephants stamp set, and the Sunny Skies, Grassy Fields, and Rolling Hills Die-namics #mftstamps

Karin Åkesdotter shows some canine love too with this proud pooch from the You Make My Tail Wag stamp set and Die-namics. Bright sunshine illuminates the scene over rolling hills. You can definitely see how Karin was inspired by the sketch.

Amazing City Skyline Card by Karolyn Loncon featuring the Amazing stamp set, and the New York Skyline, Blueprints 15, Blueprints 16, Circle STAX Set 1, and Circle STAX Set 2 Die-namics #mftstamps

Karolyn Loncon creates a scene, too, but her clean and graphic approach differs greatly from the fun and cute we've seen so far. Circles radiate in warm colors to shine down on the New York City Skyline. This card would make any day super, special, and AMAZING!

Coolest Penguin Card by Kay Miller featuring the Birdie Brown Toasty Greetings stamp set and Die-namics, and the Layered Leaves, Let it Snowflake, Pierced Snowflakes, and Stitched Cover-up Companion - Horizontal Die-namics #mftstamps
Kay Miller concentrates on the line in the sketch by using the Stitched Cover-Up Companion - Horizontal Die-namics as the skeleton of her design. She gathers up pretty leaves and snowflakes in wintry hues to back up the adorable penguin from the Toasty Greetings stamp set. Simply lovely.

Wool Ewe Be Mine Card by Yoonsun Hur featuring the Birdie Brown Ewe Are the Best stamp set and Die-namics, and the Prairie Fence and Blueprints 25 Die-namics #mftstamps
Yoonsun Hur gathers two adorable sheep from the Ewe Are the Best stamp set and Die-namics in place of the circle in the sketch adding in a landscape of hills from the same set. The addition of the Prairie Fence Die-namics finishes of the design as the horizontal line element. Just too cute!
