Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 316

Welcome to a new sketch from the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Blog. We're so glad you've decided to pay us a visit, and we hope that you'll be inspired!

Below you'll find Sketch 316. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.

The My Favorite Things Creative Team has been busy getting creative! Let's see what they have up their sleeves for Sketch 316!

Handmade card from Inge Groot featuring Knight in Shining Armor stamp set and Die-namics, Castle, Cloud 9, and Stitched Arch STAX Die-namics #mftstamps

Inge created an adorable soft fairytale scene using a cute horse from the Knight in Shining Armor stamp set and the new Castle Die-namics to form her focal point for Sketch 316. The castle turret helps to extend the right line of the sketch along with her striped patterned paper.

Handmade card from Karolyn Loncon featuring Kind Words stamp set, Abstract Heart, Stitched Sentiments Strips, and Blueprints 23 Die-namics #mftstamps

In place of the circle in the sketch, Karolyn features a beautiful heart that she created with the brand new Abstract Heart Die-namics. Remember that with sketches, any shape can be used — you're not nailed down to using a circle.

Join me in welcoming back Lexa Levana as our Guest Designer this month!

Let's see how Lexa interpreted this week's sketch:

Handmade card from Lexa Levana featuring Birdie Brown Otterly Love You stamp set and Die-namics and Abstract Heart and Homespun Stitch Lines Die-namics #mftstamps

Like Karolyn, Lexa saw a heart in the sketch, and she also used the Abstract Heart Die-namics. But what a completely different look! Lexa used only the frame and created an adorable shaker card paired with the sweetest little images from the Otterly Love You stamp set and Die-namics. A collective AWWW!

Handmade card from Jodi Collins featuring You Bake Me Happy stamp set, Beautiful Blooms and Kitschy Kitchen stamp sets and Die-namics, Leafy Greenery, Stitched Fishtail Flag STAX, Stitched Circle STAX, Blueprints 13, and Blueprints 20 Die-namics, and Polka Dot stencil #mftstamps

Jodi's delicious design is filled with all sorts of sweetness! She starts with the circle of the sketch as a place to feature her images from the Kitschy Kitchen stamp set. The bowl appears to be sitting on the sentiment. Also note, she used the Polka Dot stencil to dry emboss her black background for added interest!

Handmade card from Keisha Campbell featuring Essential Sentiments stamp set, Mini Hexagon Background stamp, and Stitched Sentiments Strips, Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2, Pierced Circle STAX, and Tag Builder Blueprints 3 Die-namics #mftstamps

Keisha gives the line of the sketch a curve with the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2 Die-namics and adds interest to the background with the Lined Up Dots Background stamp. What a simple and pretty card for Valentine's Day!

Handmade card from Torico featuring Bling It On stamp set, Diamonds and Blueprints 27 Die-namics, Abstract stencil #mftstamps
Torico's card creates the illusion of the circle in the sketch with the Abstract stencil. Two brilliant Diamonds take center stage on this hip and funky design.

Handmade card from Donna Mikasa featuring Birdie Brown Adorable Elephants stamp set and Die-namics, Lined Up Dots Background stamp, and Stitched Heart STAX and Blueprints 25 Die-namics #mftstamps

Like Karolyn, Donna saw a heart in Sketch 316, but hers is filled with all kinds of sweetness thanks to the Adorable Elephants stamp that she features. He's perched on the fitting sentiment so that he doesn't appear to float. Great design!
