Creative Construction with Blueprints: It's Your Turn!

Our Creative Construction with Blueprints Challenge is a long-standing Creative Team challenge that's been hosted on our MFT blog for quite some time. We thought it would be fun to turn the challenge over to you though — we're well-aware of the talent our customers have and know you'll bring some brand new ideas to the table when it comes to putting your Blueprints collection to work.

Every month, you'll be able to participate in the same challenge our team has been playing along with. The only difference is, one of *you* will be the lucky winner of our monthly $50 gift voucher! Are you ready to tackle your first Blueprints Challenge? Let's do it.

We love Blueprints because they take the guesswork out of crafting beautiful cards (and tags!) in quick fashion when we’re short on time or inspiration. We also love them for their versatility and ability to be mixed and matched when we have the time and inspiration to create something truly unique. Our Creative Construction Challenge focuses on these attributes each month, challenging the team to either assemble a card based on one of the provided Blueprints sketches or design an original design combining elements from the featured Blueprints.

A pretty package is an inviting way to encourage loved ones to dig into gifts with gusto. Presenting gift cards in a unique way can pose a challenge but trust us, it’s a challenge we’re up to tackling. Our Blueprints series includes an abundance of elements that help make your gift card presentation as exciting as its contents.

If you're recipient isn't excited by the pretty piggy on the card front, imagine their excitement at the protest of popping that card front open to see what's hidden within! The scored tab element in Blueprints 32 is the perfect way to create a "tuck spot" for a concealing flap.

"X" marks the spot on Kristina's treasure of a card. Blueprints 28 features a full stitched panel with integrated flap to make it so easy to create a super surprise like this one. Don't you love how Kristina's filled her panel with an adventuresome scene? Ingenious!

Now, it's your turn. You have until Wednesday, August 16, at noon EDT to add your link and be eligible for the prize of $50 in MFT Cash to be spent in the MFT boutique. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

Did you know you can find ALL of our printable Blueprints sketches in one spot? Our Printable Resources section over there in the sidebar is packed with handy reference materials including Blueprints.

  1. Great cards, Ladies! I especially love how Kristina used the arrows to hold the gift card.
