You've Been Spotted - May 3, 2016

Each week we see fantastic projects featuring My Favorite Things product, and we're always so thrilled to see what our customers and followers are creating!

Today, we'd like to shine the spotlight on some awesome projects that have caught our attention in another edition of  You've Been Spotted. Sit a spell and get ready to ooooooh and aaaaah over some of the cool designs we've noticed recently.

If you see your project featured, feel free to post this image on your blog and link to this post to show the world that you were spotted by My Favorite Things!

Janet Perafan-Babar

Friends and Bold Greenery Die-namics - Janet Perafan-Babar #mftstamps

I spotted Janet's card in our Facebook group and also as an entry for Color Challenge 43. Such a soft and pretty design featuring our Friends and Bold Greenery Die-namics.

Margaritka Pochekutova

Birdie Brown Somebunny stamp set and Stitched Rectangle Frames Die-namics - Margaritka Pochekutova #mftstamps

Anna Kossakovskaya spotted Margaritka's card on Instagram following #mftstamps. Anna quips, "Such a clever and fun card! I like the frame and amazing batch of carrots." I love the color technique she did with green at the top and the orange toward the bottom. The cutie from the Somebunny stamp set looks pretty proud of her stash of carrots!

Maria Fischer

Lisa Johnson Designs Birthday Greetings stamp set and High-Rise Number Die-namics - Maria Fischer #mftstamps

Maria's entry for Sketch 277 has an interesting story! She's attending a combo birthday party for a couple each turning 50 and their daughter turning 18. What a clever design! The High-Rise Numbers Die-namics and the Birthday Greetings stamp set did the trick!

Sarah Jay

Birdie Brown Cool Cat stamp set - Sarah Jay #mftstamps

Donna Mikasa spotted Sarah's design on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog. What a cute use of our Cool Cat stamp set! Donna says, "Sarah Jay's coloring and paper piecing adds so much to her simple card design!"  And that little bowtie? I die!

Tonya Dirk

Warm & Fuzzy Friends Card Kit - Tonya Dirk #mftstamps

Tonya's take on Sketch 274 using the Warm & Fuzzy Friends Card Kit is "beary" cute, don't you agree? I super duper HEART that row of slanted patterned papers. So eye-catching!

Thanks for using MFT, ladies! You've left us inspired, and that's what it's all about! See you tomorrow for another great Sketch Challenge, and look for the next MFT Color Challenge on Thursday, May 12th!

Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 277

If you get some creative time in the next few days, we'd love to have you join us for this week's sketch challenge! It's circle-tastic!

Below you'll find Sketch 277. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.

The My Favorite Things Creative Team has been busy getting creative! Let's see what they have up their sleeves for Sketch 277!

Flowers & Circles Friend Card by Kay Miller featuring the Distressed Patterns and Party Patterns stamp sets, and the Build-able Bouquet and I’m Tweet on You stamp sets and Die-namics #mftstamps

Using the Party Patterns stamp set, Kay is able to follow the sketch quite closely adding in pretty flowers from the Build-able Bouquet stamp set and Die-namics. Placing the flowers on the edges of the circles helps to anchor them and gives her design a delightful sense of movement.

Shoot for the Stars Card by Barbara Anders featuring the Laina Lamb Design Count the Stars stamp set and the Lucky Stars and Stars & Wishes Die-namics, and the Tiny Stars Background stamp #mftstamps

Barbara replaces the circles of the sketch with a pleasing arrangement of stars from the Lucky Stars Die-namics. The addition of the Silver Shine card stock and the pretty background created with the Tiny Stars Background stamp add to the stellar theme of her card.

Join me in welcoming back the talented Betsy Veldman as our Guest Designer this month!

Let's see how Betsy interpreted this week's sketch:

Tweet Note Card by Betsy Veldman featuring the I’m Tweet on You stamp set and Die-namics and the Tree-mendous Die-namics #mftstamps

Betsy's adorable scene is courtesy of the Tree-mendous Die-namics and our super sweet I'm Tweet on You stamp set and Die-namics. I love how she die cut an opening in the card front with the tree top to feature the sentiment. Such a fun interpretation of Sketch 277!

Get Well Flowers Card by Keisha Campbell featuring the Lisa Johnson Designs Delicate Pretty Poppies stamp set and Scribble Roses and Scribble Roses Overlay Die-namics, Sweater Stitch Background stamp, and the Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics #mftstamps

Three gorgeous flowers are in bloom on Keisha's lovely take on the sketch. I love her tone on tone flowers created with the Scribble Roses and Scribble Roses Overlay Die-namics. Such a lovely and thoughtful greeting for someone who is under the weather.

Thanks a Bunch Card by Anna Kossakovskaya featuring the Cheeky Monkey stamp set and Die-namics, and the Stitched Cloud Edges and Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics #mftstamps

Anna came up with a super delightful take on the sketch. First she turned it on the side, and then she incorporated adorable monkeys from the Cheeky Monkey stamp set and Die-namics in place of the circles. The one monkey who fell through the hole adds to the whimsical nature of her design.

Beyond Grateful Card by Julia Stainton featuring the Kind Thanks stamp set and the Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX, Bold Greenery, and Blueprints 13 Die-namics #mftstamps

Julia's artistic watercolored circles created with the Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX Die-namics are the foundation of her beautiful card. The pretty plaid patterned paper paired with the simple sentiment on white make for a striking design.

Deer to Me Card by Donna Mikasa featuring the Forest Friends stamp set and Die-namics, and the Tree-mendous, Blueprints 18, and Blueprints 25 Die-namics #mftstamps
Like Betsy, Donna saw a grove of trees in the sketch, but she went for a pointier version from the Tree-mendous Die-namics set. Paired with the cutie pie deer and sentiment from the Forest Friends stamp set, Donna's design is filled with charm and sweetness.
