You've Been Spotted - October 13, 2015

Each week we see fantastic projects featuring My Favorite Things product, and we're always so thrilled to see what our customers and followers are creating!

Today, we'd like to shine the spotlight on some awesome projects that have caught our attention in another edition of  You've Been Spotted. Sit a spell and get ready to ooooooh and aaaaah over some of the cool designs we've noticed recently.

If you see your project featured, feel free to post this image on your blog and link to this post to show the world that you were spotted by My Favorite Things!

Keeway (kiwi.concepts on Instagram)

Design Team Member Francine Vuillème and MFT Graphics Guru Laina Lamb both spotted this cheeky little bunny from the Somebunny stamp set getting down in the spotlight at Studio 54. When her boyfriend suggested this bunny looks like she's twerking, Keeway had to go with that concept. Hilarious!

Tricia Barber

Challenge Team Members Jill Dewey Hawkins  and Vera Wirianta Yates both spotted Tricia's sweet card which she submitted for Sketch 248. Jill says, "Oh my word! The coloring and cuteness! So fabulously put together!" and Vera adds, "Love this sweet card by Tricia. Adorable scene & great coloring as well." I love how she created the frame for her darling scene with the Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics.

Michelle Bala

I spotted Michelle's card as one of the 654 entries for our Card Design Superstar contest last month. As a girl who grew up in the country, I love the sweet simplicity of this design. Beside Michelle's skillful coloring (I love the detail she added making his sweater look a little tattered), I love the texture she adds with the twine, and the perfect gingham patterned paper. That Harvest Mouse sure is CUTE!

Debbie Olson

Design Team Member Barbara Anders spotted Debbie's card on her blog. Barbara puts it perfectly, "Debbie Olson and her amazing coloring. Sigh." Yep. We couldn't agree more. Debbie used the popular Harvest Mouse stamp set, and in her blog post she quipped, "I know that my mother-in-law would probably say, "It a MOUSE. How can it be cute?" But it really is. . ." Love that.

Maggie (rahzicrafts on Instagram)

Design Team Member Francine Vuillème found this fantastic and inventive card on Instagram. Maggie has this to say about her creation, "For World Card Making Day, I thought it would be appropriate to share a card I made a while back which represents some of the very special friendships I've made in this wonderful crafting community. I'm amazed at the special bond that we have developed in spite of never having met face to face." And friends in the form of gnomes from the You Gnome Me stamp set? Even better.

Birka Reinitz

Contributing Design Team Member Inge Groot found this cutie pie card on Birka's blog. Birka's card also celebrates the friendships that she has made in the card making community. She and her friends challenged each other to use the You Gnome Me stamp set without using red or green, so she went with a fun and girly pink and turquoise color combination! Here's what the challenge looked like in Birka's native language: Benuzte die Gnome von My Favorite Things und kein Rot und kein Grün. (I wanted to be a German teacher at one point in my life, so I thought that was cool.)

Thanks for using MFT, ladies! You've left us inspired, and that's what it's all about! See you tomorrow for the next Sketch Challenge, and look for a new MFT Color Challenge Thursday, October 22nd!

Which design is your favorite this week? Be sure to leave these ladies some love. And who knows? You might be spotted sometime soon!
