You've Been Spotted - November 17, 2015

Each week we see fantastic projects featuring My Favorite Things product, and we're always so thrilled to see what our customers and followers are creating!

Today, we'd like to shine the spotlight on some awesome projects that have caught our attention in another edition of  You've Been Spotted. Sit a spell and get ready to ooooooh and aaaaah over some of the cool designs we've noticed recently.

If you see your project featured, feel free to post this image on your blog and link to this post to show the world that you were spotted by My Favorite Things!

Susan Bouchard

I spotted Susan's card as an entry in our Card Design Superstar contest back in September. That navy! Oh my goodness, it's such a glorious background for the magnificent bouquet of poppies she created using the Delicate Pretty Poppies stamp set. Here's how Susan achieved the pretty effect on her flowers — she water colored the flowers with orange and pink distress inks, but instead of water, she used shimmer mist to blend the colors. Simply STUNNING!

Marcie Sharp

Challenge Team Member Jill Dewey Hawkins spotted Marcie's fun card as an entry for the Card Design Superstar contest, too!  This bold design shimmers in more ways than one with Marcie's use of the Bold Statements stamp set and Proof Positive Cover-Up Die-namics. As Jill says, this card is "colorful and delightful!"

Geneviève Caissiée (genevievecaissiee on Instagram)

I spotted Geneviève's adorable card via #mftstamps on Instagram. I am enamored with her coloring and layering of the stamps from the Polynesian Paradise stamp set and the delicious sunny glow she created in the circle. And that pretty pink satin ribbon at the bottom? Icing on the cake, for sure!

Michelle Short

Contributing Design Team Member Inge Groot spotted this sweet and feminine birthday card on Michelle's blog. Sometimes simplicity is perfection — the understated sentiment, the sweet bear from the Birthday Bears stamp set, and a pink balloon to match the patterned paper. As Michelle says on her blog post, "I love making these simple birthday cards, and it gives me an opportunity to colour as well, which I always love doing!" Wonderfully done!

Carissa Wiley (carissawiley on Instagram)

I spotted Carissa's tasty concoction on Instagram via #mftstamps, but I followed the links to her blog to learn more. Carissa shares a video on her blog post with a tutorial of how she made this shaker card. She admits to being "absolutely crazy" over the LLD Stay Cool stamp set and Cool Cup Die-namics. Can't say we blame you, Carissa! What a fun card!

Thanks for using MFT, ladies! You've left us inspired, and that's what it's all about! See you tomorrow for the next Sketch Challenge, and look for a new MFT Color Challenge on Thursday, November 26th — Thanksgiving Day!

Which design is your favorite this week? Be sure to leave these ladies some love. And who knows? You might be spotted sometime soon!
