This week we're going to take a look at how to create a Water Resist With Background Stamps.
When you're in your craft room, spilling water on a project could be your biggest nightmare! I know that some people forbid any liquids to avoid a horrific accident. But what if you intentionally used water in your crafting? You can, and the results are pretty spectacular.
Wasn't that fun? I love how the dark background comes to life with the water and the smaller stamped stars. The water makes the edges less sharp giving the stars a certain glow.
Let's take a look at a few examples of other projects that incorporate the use of water.
To create her background for the scene that she created using the Ewe Are the Best stamp set and Die-namics, Kay sponged distress inks on watercolor paper and sprinkled the panel with water.
After stamping and embossing the Tiny Stars Background, Barbara used a water brush to dampen the watercolor paper and then loaded her paint brush with ink.
Yoonsun's flowers and leaves look so pretty! You can die cut each piece, watercolor it, and spritz with water for this dreamy effect. She used the Modern Blooms and Wild Greenery Die-namics for this lovely design.
