Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 272

March is cruising right along, and the inspiration never stops here at the the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration blog. It's always such a pleasure to have a visit from you!

Below you'll find Sketch 272. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.

It's great to have Amy Tsuruta as our Guest Designer this month, and we're happy to have her with us again today!
Let's see how Amy interpreted this week's sketch with us:

Birthday Succulents Card by Amy Tsuruta featuring the Laina Lamb Design Sweet Succulents stamp set and Die-namics and the Cross-Stitch Circle STAX #mftstamps

Amy starts with the Cross Stitch Circle STAX  Die-namics to create the circle in the sketch, and then she features some images from the Sweet Succulents stamp set and Die-namics. Amy also followed along with MFT Color Challenge 41 with this card!

The My Favorite Things Creative Team has been busy getting creative! Let's see what they have up their sleeves for Sketch 272!

Brilliant Marching Band Card by Anna Kossakovskya featuring the Birdie Brown Strike up the Band stamp set and Die-namics, the Lots of Dots Background stamp, and the Stitched Circle Scallop Frames, and Blueprints 27 Die-namics #mftstamps

Anna colors up a marching band full of bunnies from the Strike up the Band stamp set and places them in a super cute Stitched Circle Scallop Frame to match up with the sketch. The background she created with the Lots of Dots Background stamp adds to the fun!

Thanks Shaker Card by Barbara Anders featuring the Kind Thanks stamp set, the Geometric Grid Background stamp, and the Twice the Thanks, Stitched Circle Scallop Frames, Circle STAX Set 1, and Blueprints 24 Die-namics #mftstamps

The circle of the sketch had Barbara seeing a shaker card, and what fun it is! The primary color scheme paired with the otherwise neutral card is delightful. Check out the cool spotlight technique she utilizes with the Geometric Grid Background stamp and Peerless Watercolors.

Wild About You Card by Jody Morrow featuring the Sweet Safari stamp set and Die-namics, and the Snow Drifts, Wild Greenery, and Stitched Circle Frames Die-namics #mftstamps

Jody encircles a scene featuring an adorable tiger from the Sweet Safari stamp set and Die-namics in her interpretation of this week's sketch. And what a clever use of the Snow Drifts Die-namics. It just goes to show that a snow drift looks like grass when you use green card stock!

Floral Hello Card by Julia Stainton featuring the Lisa Johnson Designs Spring Wreath stamp set, and the Floral Fusion Cover-Up, Wild Greenery, Stitched Circle Scallop Frames, Blueprints 12, and Blueprints 20 Die-namics #mftstamps

Julia makes the background the star of the show with the help of the Floral Fusion Cover-Up Die-namics. The vellum inside the circle is a lovely way to mute yet still show the delicate details. And the sprigs of green created with the Wild Greenery Die-namics adds to the freshness of this design.

Thank You Butterfly Card by Karolyn Loncon featuring the Lisa Johnson Designs Spring Wreath stamp set, and the Flutter of Butterflies - Solid, Stitched Mini Scallop Square STAX, Blueprints 3, and Blueprints 20 Die-namics #mftstamps

Karolyn takes the sketch in a slightly different direction with the negative of a pretty butterfly showing its true colors. The butterfly gives the illusion of the roundness in the sketch and allows the stripes to play into the final design.

Happy Hugs Wreath Card by Kay Miller featuring the Lisa Johnson Designs Spring Wreath stamp set and Die-namics, the Warm & Fuzzy Friends Card Kit, and the Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX Die-namics #mftstamps

Of course a wreath fits well with this sketch, and Kay has created a lovely pastel one using the Spring Wreath stamp set and Die-namics. The addition of the gingham patterned paper adds to the hominess of her design.

Better Days to Come Card by Torico featuring the Rainbow of Happiness stamp set, the Swiss Dots Background stamp, and the Radiant Sun, Puffy Clouds, Stitched Scallop Edges, and Stitched Rounded Rectangle STAX Die-namics #mftstamps

Torico sees a whole lot of sunshine in sketch 272. What a playful design she has created with the Radiant Sun and Puffy Clouds Die-namics! The deep complementary colors add to the sunniness of her design.
