Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 280

Wednesday means there's a new sketch in your life. Take a look and get inspired by the possibilities!

Below you'll find Sketch 280. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.

The My Favorite Things Creative Team has been busy getting creative! Let's see what they have up their sleeves for Sketch 280!

Floral Hello Card by Julia Stainton featuring the Lace Background and Myriad Dot Background stamps, and the Hello There, Rolled Scalloped Rose, Layered Leaves, Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX, Blueprints 13, and Blueprints 14 Die-namics #mftstamps

Julia's pretty card proves that this sketch is the perfect place to showcase just about anything! She starts with a dotted background and then uses the main section of the sketch to gather dimensional roses and lovely Layered Leaves atop a Lace Background. I love all of her delicious additions giving her design a whole lot of interest and texture!

Cool Cat Card by Torico featuring the Distressed Patterns, Birdie Brown Cool Cat stamp set and Die-namics, Myriad Dot and Pinstripe Background stamps, Royal Leaves, Stitched Scallop Edges, and Lisa Johnson Designs Scribble Roses Overlay Die-namics #mftstamps
Torico's Cool Cat is preening amidst roses on this whimsical design. The stitched scallops at the bottom mimic the sketch to a T, and the sweet color combination gives this card a unique and fun feel.

Live Colorfully Card by Barbara Anders featuring the Rainbow Greetings stamp set, and the End of the Rainbow and Basic Stitch Lines Die-namics #mftstamps

Why not make the scallops at the bottom of the sketch out of a cloud like Barbara did? What a fun way to use the brand new Rainbow Greetings stamp set and the End of the Rainbow Die-namics!

Floral Friend Card by Keisha Campbell featuring the Snuggle Bunnies stamp set, Romantic Script Background, and Gerbera Daisy, Bold Greenery, Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle STAX, Stitched Rectangle STAX, and Blueprints 14 Die-namics #mftstamps

Background stamps are the perfect way to add depth to the main portion of the sketch. Keisha's color choices are inspiring and that Gerbera Daisy makes quite an impact!

Join me in welcoming back Rubeena Naz as our Guest Designer this month!

Let's see how Rubeena interpreted this week's sketch:

Darn Cool Friend Card by Rubeena Naz featuring Because You and Lisa Johnson Designs Make Yourself at Home stamp sets, Pure Innocence Straight to the Point stamp set and Die-namics, and Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Rectangle STAX, and Blueprints 27 Die-namics, and Geometric Grid Stencil #mftstamps

While this card is mostly white, Rubeena adds interest with the Geometric Grid stencil in her background. And look what she did with the cutie from the Straight to the Point stamp set. She removed the pencil, and replaced it with a vase from the Make Yourself at Home stamp set. A fun way to switch up your stamps!

Pretty Wreath Hello Card by Anna Kossakovskaya featuring Lisa Johnson Designs Spring Wreath stamp set and Die-namics and Make Yourself at Home stamp set, and Dainty Scallop Cover-Up, and Blueprints 27 Die-namics #mftstamps

Like Rubeena, Anna rocks a tone on tone white background, but hers is created with just a portion of the Dainty Scallop Cover-Up. Such a pretty and subtle delicateness it adds to her design beneath her vibrant Spring Wreath.

Perfect Pooch Pair Card by Kay Miller featuring Snuggle Bunnies stamp set, the Build-able Bouquet and Birdie Brown Lucky Dog stamp sets and Die-namics, Crosshatch Background stamp, and Stitched Scallop Edges, Fishtail Flags STAX, and Blueprints 20 Die-namics #mftstamps

I love how Kay uses the line above the scallop as a spot for two perfect pooches to perch. It gives them something to stand on! And have you ever seen a cuter lavender doggie? I, for one, have NOT. And those two flowers are the perfect finishing touch to this utterly adorable design.
