Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 284

Hope your June is off on the right foot! Why not spend a little time getting creative to nurture your soul with this week's sketch challenge?

Below you'll find Sketch 284. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.

The My Favorite Things Creative Team has been busy getting creative! Let's see what they have up their sleeves for Sketch 284!

Julie goes super literal with the sketch with adorable results! That focal point is a great place to feature one of your favorite stamp sets from My Favorite Things. Here, Julie uses the brand new little oinker from the Hog Heaven stamp set.

Barbara's design has a definite nautical feel with the Go Overboard stamp set and Let's Get Nautical Die-namics. The lifesaver fits the sketch quite perfectly, don't you agree?

Kay creates the circle of the sketch with the Spring Wreath stamp set and Die-namics encircling the cutest little deer from the Sweet Forest Friends stamp set (brand new for June!). Such a lovely and cheerful design.

Karin turns up the heat with the Birds of Paradise stamp set! Her animal print background surely conveys the wild theme of her design. And the Stitchable Dot Circle STAX Die-namics adds so much to her interpretation of the sketch.

Like Kay, Anna creates the circle of the sketch with the Spring Wreath stamp set and Die-namics, but hers has a more ethereal feel to go with the adorable fairy girl from the Beautiful Girl stamp set and Die-namics.

I quite adore Francine's take on this sketch. It's as if I'm viewing the be-polka dotted swim trunks penguin from the porthole of a ship. What an exquisitely colored and delightful scene she's created!

Join me in welcoming back Angela Rivera, our Guest Designer this month!

Let's see how Angela interpreted this week's sketch with us:

Handmade card from Angela Rivera featuring Snuggle Bunnies stamp set, Square STAX Set 1, Circle STAX Set 2 Die-namics, and Chunky Herringbone Stencil #mftstamps

Angela created interest in her background with the Chunky Herringbone stencil with pigment ink, and she created a cute focal point with images from the Snuggle Bunnies stamp set. The swath of patterned paper closely mimics the vertical line in the sketch.
