Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 291

It's time for another fun sketch from the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration Blog! Enjoy creating with this versatile vertical sketch!

Below you'll find Sketch 291. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.

The My Favorite Things Creative Team has been busy getting creative! Let's see what they have up their sleeves for Sketch 291!

Handmade card from Anna Kossakovskaya featuring Gumball Greetings stamp set, Birdie Brown Beary Special Birthday and Pure Innocence Cupcake Day stamp sets and Die-namics, Distressed Stripes Background stamp, Stitched Arch STAX and Blueprints 27 Die-namics #mftstamps

Anna's take on sketch 291 is just too SWEET for words. She's changed the rectangle into a circle (a shaker circle, no less), and the balloons on the left take the place of the circle on the right in the sketch. She HAD to change the orientation because there's a yummy cupcake that can't get covered up!

Handmade card from Francine Vuillème featuring Rainbow Greetings and Snuggle Bunnies stamp sets, Grassy Edges, Stitched Cloud Edges, Circle STAX Set 1, and Pierced Square STAX Die-namics #mftstamps
Francine created a fun shaped card with the Snuggle Bunnies stamp set. I'm enamored with his cute striped shirt and how he is frolicking in the grass. The balloon looks like it's sailing into the sky against the pretty cloud background.

Join me in welcoming back Jenn Shurkus as our Guest Designer one more time! We're so fortunate to have had her. You can follow her HERE at her blog Creative Chick.

Let's see how Jenn interpreted her last sketch with us:

Handmade card from Jenn Shurkus featuring Happy Birthday Centerpieces, Big Birthday Balloons, and Chevron Fringe Die-namics #mftstamps

Sometimes all you need is three fantastic Die-namics to create a showstopper of a card. Jenn features the Happy Birthday Centerpieces and adds fun dimension and detail with the Big Balloons and Chevron Fringe Die-namics. And all that sparkle? Oooh la la!

Handmade card from Amy Lee featuring Birdie Brown Penguins in Paradise and Laina Lamb Design Sweet Succulents stamp sets and Die-namics, Transparent Triangle Background stamp, Sunny Skies, Stitched Mini Scallop Square STAX, Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX, Pure Innocence Fun in the Sun, and Blueprints 27 Die-namics #mftstamps

The circle of the sketch inspired Amy to pull out her Sunny Skies Die-namics. And how awesome and funny are those rad succulents with sunglasses and a tropical drink? So great!

Handmade card from Donna Mikasa featuring Gumball Greetings stamp set, Big Birthday Balloons and Blueprints 26 Die-namics, and English Brick Wall stencil #mftstamps

Donna kept the design very true to the sketch and came up with this simply sweet design. Sometimes less is more! Using patterned papers makes a big impact with little trouble. This is the kind of card you could make in multiples to give as a gift.

Handmade card from Keisha Campbell featuring Amazing stamp set, Mini Hexagon Background stamp, Flutter of Butterflies - Lace, Thanks & Hello, Horizontal Stitched Strips, Square Frames, and Blueprints 25 Die-namics #mftstamps

Keisha's design is rather angular with lots of edges, yet her background stamping, color choices, and the lacy butterfly add a softness to her card. The warm color choices set against the cool gray make this card very eye-catching. Remember, when you see a circle in a sketch, it can be transformed into any shape imaginable!

Handmade card from Jody Morrow featuring You’re Rawr-some stamp set and Die-namics, Scattered Surface Background stamp, Puffy Clouds, Stitched Valley, Inside & Out Stitched Rectangle STAX, and Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics #mftstamps

Jody frames up a fun prehistoric scene with the You're Rawr-some stamp set and Die-namics. The blazing round sun and clouds make for the cutest little scene!
