Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 292

Welcome to our very first sketch of August! Let's embrace a new month of creativity.

Below you'll find Sketch 292. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.

Join me in welcoming Amy Kolling as our Guest Designer this month!

Let's see how Amy interpreted her first sketch with us:

Handmade card from Amy Kolling featuring Lisa Johnson Designs Spooky Sweets stamp set and Die-namics, Fresh Cut Grass and Blueprints 13 Die-namics #mftstamps

This week, our designers run the gamut of card occasions, and Amy starts us off with a gorgeous Halloween card using the brand spankin' new Spooky Sweets stamp set and Die-namics. The square of the sketch is the perfect spot for a gorgeous sky, and the pumpkins serve as the circle in the sketch. I'm batty for this design!

The My Favorite Things Creative Team has been busy getting creative! Let's see what they have up their sleeves for Sketch 292!

Handmade card from Donna Mikasa featuring Birdie Brown Penguins in Paradise stamp set and Die-namics, Balloon Strings Background stamp, and Pierced Square Frames Die-namics #mftstamps

Donna celebrates the warm days of summer with her design this week! Mr. Penguin is cooling off amidst an ocean of waves created with the Balloon Strings Background stamp. You'll notice Donna uses the square merely as a frame for all of that gorgeous water.

Handmade card from Anna Kossakovskaya featuring Winter Wonderland and Birdie Brown Santa’s Elves stamp sets and Die-namics, Snow Drifts, Stitched Square Scallop Frames, and Blueprints 28 Die-namics #mftstamps

Anna got in the Christmas spirit with Sketch 292, and she used the square to create a scene with the Winter Wonderland stamp set. The festive elf takes the place of the circle in her rather direct take on this sketch. It's never too early to start Christmas cards, right?

Handmade card from Julie Dinn featuring Lisa Johnson Designs Spooky Sweets stamp set and Die-namics, Stitched Valley, Stitched Square Frames, Blueprints, 1, and Blueprints 2 Die-namics #mftstamps

Julie frames up three pumpkins in her autumnal approach to the sketch. You'll notice she put the pumpkins on the right rather than the left where the circle is in the sketch. The jaunty black stripes add a freshness to her design.

Handmade card from Joy Taylor featuring Essential Sentiments stamp set, Birdie Brown You Have My Heart stamp set and Die-namics, End of the Rainbow, Grassy Fields, Double Stitched Square STAX, and Blueprints 27 Die-namics #mftstamps

Joy's card shares a sweet scene with a girl and her pup, perfect anytime of the year! I love how she embossed the Double Stitched Square STAX Die-namics on her card front for added interest without added bulk. Clever!

Handmade card from Keeway Tsao featuring Soak up the Fun stamp set and Die-namics, Whimsical Waves Background stamp, Pierced Square Frames, and Blueprints 29 Die-namics #mftstamps

Keeway is hanging onto summer with her aquatic design featuring the Soak up the Fun stamp set and Die-namics and Whimsical Waves Background stamp — both new from our August release. Our designers never know what the others are making, so it's fun to see that she and Donna were thinking alike!

Handmade card from Jody Morrow featuring Lisa Johnson Designs Spooky Sweets stamp set and Die-namics, Scattered Surface Background stamp, Stitched Basic Edges, Stitched Square Frames, and Blueprints 29 Die-namics #mftstamps

Julie and Jody shared a mind-meld moment with the Spooky Sweets stamp set and their designs for sketch 292. Jody's card has a more rustic feel with the gingham patterned paper and Kraft card stock frame.
