Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 293

Welcome to a new sketch from the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Blog. We're so glad you've decided to pay us a visit, and we hope that you'll be inspired!

Below you'll find Sketch 293. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.

Join me in welcoming Amy Kolling back as our Guest Designer this month! Let's see how Amy interpreted this week's sketch:

Handmade card from Amy Kolling featuring Monster Love stamp set and Die-namics, Essential Cover-Up Vertical and Blueprints 13 Die-namics #mftstamps

It's hard to resist the fun little guys from our Monster Love stamp set! Amy used the colors of the striped patterned paper as a guide for choosing ink colors. I love how she created the sentiment in the circle to mirror the sketch, and the red tab really accentuates it. And by using the Essential Cover-Up Vertical Die-namics, the red monster has a place to "stand." Too cute!

The My Favorite Things Creative Team has been busy getting creative! Let's see what they have up their sleeves for Sketch 293!

Handmade card from Anna Kossakovskaya featuring Winter Wonderland stamp set, Birdie Brown Santa’s Elves and Lisa Johnson Designs Spring Wreath stamp sets and Die-namics, Blueprints 30 Die-namics #mftstamps

Anna is in a Christmas mood, and she uses the top portion of the sketch to feature a festive wreath. The Spring Wreath stamp set can become wintry with the right color choices. And the one red ornament is the perfect replacement for the circle of the sketch. I adore the white-ness of this design.

Handmade card from Joy Taylor featuring Out of the World stamp set and Die-namics, Whimsical Waves Background stamp, Circle STAX Set 1, Blueprints 21 and Blueprints 24 Die-namics #mftstamps

Joy follows the sketch rather closely and the result is out of this world! The circle becomes a moon, and the square panel shines with a starry sky. The black tab with the star is the perfect finishing touch to accent the spaceship from the Out of this World stamp set.

Handmade card from Karolyn Loncon featuring Rainbow of Happiness stamp set, In the Clouds, Radiant Sun, Stitched Cloud Edges, and Blueprints 23 Die-namics #mftstamps

Karolyn was surely inspired by sketch 293! Look what she did here — by using the sun, she melds the tab and circle. SO clever. And that half sun peeking out from behind the clouds flawlessly continues the theme of her card. Magnificent!

Handmade card from Keisha Campbell featuring Amazing stamp set, Scattered Surface Background and Winter Waves Background stamps, Flutter of Butterflies - Solid, Laina Lamb Design Hip Clips, and Blueprints 23 Die-namics #mftstamps

Keisha goes for a colorblocked feel with a neutral stamped card base and then four intense colors. The tab and butterfly add shape to the design, and the stamped background on the Wild Wisteria square adds interest. The Fuse Green panel allows your eye to rest. Very pretty!

Handmade card from Torico featuring Soak up the Fun stamp set and Die-namics, Pinstripe Background and Circle Scribbles Background stamps, Stitched Cloud Edges and Surf & Turf Die-namics #mftstamps

Look at this fun, fun, FUN design from Torico featuring the Soak up the Fun stamp set and Die-namics. Torico turned the sketch on the side (see the tab at the bottom and the crab in place of the circle?). And with the Surf & Turf Die-namics she gives the banana boat movement. How fun is that?

Handmade card from Barbara Anders featuring Monster Love stamp set and Die-namics, Stitched Square Frames, Blueprints 16, and Blueprints 29 Die-namics #mftstamps

Barbara loves making shaker cards, and the square of the sketch was calling her name! The tab of the sketch is the perfect home for her sentiment, and she places a star where the circle is in the sketch. Her festive patterned paper helped her choose a wide variety of sequins to fill her shaker. This card sure does make me smile!
