Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 295

Before we get to today's sketch challenge, we wanted to provide even MORE savings opportunities on our retiring products. Supplies are limited, so don't miss out on grabbing a few extra fun things from our sale category. Use code RETIRE at checkout to save an additional 25% on the products still remaining in our sale category.

And now, let's check out this week's sketch challenge!

Welcome to a new sketch from the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Blog. We're so glad you've decided to pay us a visit, and we hope that you'll be inspired!

Below you'll find Sketch 295. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.

The My Favorite Things Creative Team has been busy getting creative! Let's see what they have up their sleeves for Sketch 295!

Handmade card from Torico featuring Frightful Friends stamp set and Die-namics, Grassy Edges, Frightful Fence, Inside & Out Stitched Rectangle STAX, Slider Channel Builder, Blueprints 13 and Blueprints 30 Die-namics, and English Brick Wall stencil #mftstamps

Torico saw Sketch 295 as a chance to create a fun interactive card in the rectangle on the right side of the sketch. She created a door that opens with the Slider Channel Builder Die-namics to reveal that ruby-lipped Bride of Frankenstein from the Frightful Friends stamp set. You can see how she built the card on her blog, so be sure to check it out!

Handmade card from Donna Mikasa featuring Label Maker Love stamp set, Tweet Friends stamp set and Die-namics, and Cheerful Cages Die-namics #mftstamps

Donna interpreted the curve at the top of the rectangle in the sketch as the perfect spot for one of the cages from the Cheerful Cages Die-namics. Three colorful birds fill the design with song, and the sentiment from the Label Maker Love stamp set resides in the flagged spot to the left of the sketch.

Join me in welcoming Amy Kolling back as our Guest Designer this month! Let's see how Amy interpreted this week's sketch:

Handmade card from Amy Kolling featuring Birdie Brown Magical Dragons stamp set and Die-namics, Transparent Triangles Background stamp, Essential Cover-Up Vertical and Blueprints 13 Die-namics #mftstamps

Amy's take on this week's sketch is quite literal and super cute! The valiant knight waves his tiny sword at the cutie pie dragon against the green knoll dotted with whimsical triangles. I'm enamored with the little dots on the dragon's feet, arms, and tail. SUPER adorable!
Handmade card from Francine Vuillème featuring Rainbow of Happiness and Birdie Brown Hog Heaven stamp sets, Grassy Fields and Puffy Clouds Die-namics #mftstamps

Francine creates a magical design with the rectangle represented as a rainbow beaming down on an adorable piggie from the Hog Heaven stamp set. The swath of grass gives the winged cutie a place to hover on this sweet birthday greeting.

Handmade card from Joy Taylor featuring Birdie Brown Beary Special Birthday stamp set and Die-namics, Blueprints 24 and Blueprints 30 Die-namics #mftstamps

Joy creates the illusion of the vertical rectangle with a cake-toting, birthday hat wearing, balloon festooned bear from the Beary Special Birthday stamp set. Instead of the flag in the upper left, she uses stars and sequins to balance her design.

Handmade card from Stephanie Klauck featuring Distressed Patterns, Let’s Get Cozy, and Essential Sentiments stamp sets, Laina Lamb Design Coffee Cup and Blueprints 27 Die-namics #mftstamps

The coffee lover will adore Stephanie's caffeinated take on sketch 295. The tall Coffee Cup Die-namics is the perfect fit for this sketch, and the "spills" she added with the Distressed Patterns stamp set are just right.

Handmade card from Anna Kossakovskaya featuring Lisa Johnson Designs Spring Wreath stamp set, Birdie Brown Harvest Mouse stamp set and Die-namics, Wood Plank Background stamp, Snow Drifts, Farm Fence, and Blueprints 27 Die-namics #mftstamps

Anna's design feels like fall! She created a little farmer's stand using one of the Die-namics from Blueprints 27 and filled it with autumnal produce from the Harvest Mouse stamp set. The fence and hills are the perfect horizontal line to balance the vertical farm stand.
