Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 297

Welcome to our very first sketch of September! Let's embrace a new month of creativity.

Below you'll find Sketch 297. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.

Join me in welcoming the fabulous Julie Ebersole as our Guest Designer this month!

Let's see how Julie interpreted her first sketch with us:

Handmade card from Julie Ebersole featuring Harvest Buddies stamp set and Die-namics and Single Stitch Line Rectangle Frames Die-namics #mfstamps

A sketch as simple as this one affords many creative interpretations. Julie uses the frame as a place to feature stamps from our brand new Harvest Buddies stamp set. The sweet raccoon "stands" on the frame, and the tree limb takes the place of the flag in the sketch. Simply sweet!

The My Favorite Things Creative Team has been busy getting creative! Let's see what they have up their sleeves for Sketch 297!

Handmade card from Anna Kossakovskaya featuring Essential Sentiments stamp set, Birdie Brown Hog Heaven stamp set and Die-namics, Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frames and Blueprints 27 Die-namics, Sun Ray stencil #mftstamps

Anna uses our Sun Ray stencil to draw attention to her focal point on this design. The center of the "sun" features a sweet pig from the Hog Heaven stamp set and a simple sentiment from our versatile Essential Sentiments stamp set.

Handmade card from Amy Lee featuring Winter Warmth and Birdie Brown Santa’s Elves stamp sets, Single Stitch Line Rectangle Frames and Tag Builder Blueprints 4 Die-namics #mftstamps

Amy got in the Christmas spirit with Sketch 297, and she used the frame of the sketch to feature festive wintry images from the Winter Warmth stamp set. Her color choices and the hint of hemp twine add to the warm & cozy feel of this design. It's never too early to start Christmas cards, right?

Handmade card from Barbara Anders featuring Label Maker Sentiments and Lisa Johnson Designs Geometric Greenery stamp sets and Thanks & Hello Die-namics #mftstamps

An uncomplicated sketch like Sketch 297 gives you free reign to create mini masterpieces like this one from Barbara. Barbara features leaves from the Geometric Greenery stamp set on the main rectangle of the sketch. Her color choices and resist technique give this design a gorgeous fall feeling.

Handmade card from Keeway Tsao featuring Bold Blooms and Kind Thanks stamp sets, Twice the Thanks and Single Stitch Line Rectangle Frames Die-namics #mftstamps

Bold Blooms on white make a dramatic statement on Keeway's card. Her frame captures the beauty of the flowers and allows the sentiment a spot to rest. Absolutely lovely.
