Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 298

Welcome to a new sketch from the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Blog. We're so glad you've decided to pay us a visit, and we hope that you'll be inspired!

Below you'll find Sketch 298. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.

The My Favorite Things Creative Team has been busy getting creative! Let's see what they have up their sleeves for Sketch 298!

Handmade card from Torico featuring Essential Sentiments stamp set, Birdie Brown Happy Hedgehog stamp set and Die-namics, Scattered Surface Background and Whimsical Woodgrain Background stamps, Stitched Scallop Edges, Single Stitch Line Square Frames, Stitched Square STAX, and Tag Builder Blueprints 5 Die-namics #mftstamps

The square of the sketch is the perfect spot to fashion a sweet little shaker on your card. Torico seamlessly incorporates her shaker filler with the sentiment by die cutting X's and O's from the Tag Builder Blueprints 5 Die-namics. And of course, that hedgie makes it all even sweeter!

Handmade card from Anna Kossakovskaya featuring Birdie Brown Beary Special Birthday stamp set and Die-namics, Fireplace and Single Stitch Line Rectangle Frames Die-namics, English Brick Wall stencil #mftstamps

Sketch 298 gave Anna inspiration to use the Fireplace Die-namics to create a sweet and homey birthday scene with the Beary Special Birthday stamp set. She made the fireplace look even more authentic with the English Brick Wall stencil.

Join me in welcoming Julie Ebersole back as our Guest Designer this month! Let's see how Julie interpreted this week's sketch:

Handmade card from Julie Ebersole featuring Fall Friends stamp set, Bold Blooms stamp set and Die-namics, Lined Up Dots Background stamp, Single Stitch Line Square Frames Die-namics #mftstamps

Julie takes a pretty tone-on-tone approach to the main square of the sketch. A pretty film of vellum behind her frame gives the flower from Bold Blooms and sentiment star billing. I just love how the Lined Up Dots Background stamp looks on her card base. Must. Use. Soon.

Handmade card from Keisha Campbell featuring Lisa Johnson Designs Spooky Sweets stamp set and Die-namics, Lined Up Dots Background, Mini Hexagon Background, and Lace Background stamps, Flutter of Butterflies Lace, Pierced Square Frames, Pierced Square STAX, and Blueprints 20 Die-namicsl #mftstamps

Keisha scares up an elegant Halloween card blending three background stamps as a backdrop for a merry jack-o'-lantern and a delicate ebony butterfly. The orange really pops off her otherwise neutral color palette.

Handmade card from Barbara Anders featuring Fall Friends stamp set and Die-namics, Single Stitch Line Square Frames, and Blueprints 15 Die-namics #mftstamps

Instead of a flag with a sentiment, Barbara places a tree branch on her design. It's the perfect spot for an owl from the Fall Friends stamp set to perch overlooking the autumnal shaker in a square.

Handmade card from Donna Mikasa featuring Monster Love stamp set and Die-namics and Pierced Square Frames Die-namics #mftstamps

One super cute green monster waves hello from the square of Sketch 298 on Donna's design. Her direct take on the sketch is simple and adorable all at once. Sometimes you don't have to overthink it!

Handmade card from Keeway Tsao featuring Birdie Brown Hog Heaven stamp set and Die-namics, Stitched Cloud Edges, Sunny Skies, Single Stitch Line Square Frames, and Inside & Out Stitched Square STAX Die-namics #mftstamps

One winged piggy captures your heart from the square focal point of Keeway's design. I love how she's melds the cloud into the square of the design for a heavenly feel. SO cute!
