Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 317

Welcome to a new sketch from the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Blog. We're so glad you've decided to pay us a visit, and we hope that you'll be inspired!

Below you'll find Sketch 317. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.

Join me in welcoming back Lexa Levana one last time as our Guest Designer this month! You can visit Lexa's blog Lexa's Artsy Corner for more inspiration. Let's see how she interpreted her last sketch with us:

Handmade card from Lexa Levana featuring I’m Owl Yours stamp set and Die-namics, Birch Trees Die-namics #mftstamps

Three rectangles spoke to Lexa in the form of three owls from the I'm Owl Yours stamp set. She placed these cuties in the same spots as the rectangles in the sketch and anchored them with a tone-on-tone background with the Birch Trees Die-namics. So fresh and pretty! It's been such a pleasure seeing Lexa's designs each week.

The My Favorite Things Creative Team has been busy getting creative! Let's see what they have up their sleeves for Sketch 317!

Handmade card from Julia Stainton featuring Label Maker Love stamp set, Label Tape, Stitched Heart Grid, Layered Leaves, Precious Polaroids, Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle STAX, and Blueprints 25 Die-namics #mftstamps

With the help of the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics, Julia creates the three main panels of the sketch in Valentine colors. Her focal point created with the Precious Polaroids Die-namics is placed in a way that all three of the rectangles intersect beneath it for a well-thought out design. So gorgeous!

Handmade card from Barbara Anders featuring Essential Sentiments stamp set, Feel Better stamp set and Die-namics, Well Wishes, Tag Builder Blueprints 6, and Blueprints 22 Die-namics #mftstamps

Barbara's take on the sketch is a looser interpretation, but the medicine bottles from the Feel Better stamp set and Die-namics are used in place of the rectangles. Her sentiment incorporating the Well Wishes Die-namics serves as the horizontal rectangle of the sketch. Love her color choice!

Handmade card from Anna Kossakovskaya featuring Birdie Brown Strike up the Band stamp set and Die-namics, and Inside & Out Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics #mftstamps

Anna's unique take on the sketch begins with using the three rectangular parts of the sketch in the negative allowing the musical notes to peek through. Such a perfect accent to the cute little band bunnies from the Strike up the Band stamp set!

Handmade card from Vika Salmina featuring Chill Wishes and Sweet Sloths stamp sets and Die-namics, and Pierced Rectangle STAX Die-namics #mftstamps

Vika uses the two vertical rectangles as a place for two cool skiing penguins from the Chill Wishes stamp set. Her sentiment is placed in a thinner vertical rectangle for another inspiring take on sketch 317!

Handmade card from Keisha Campbell featuring Essential Sentiments and Distressed Patterns stamp sets, Stitched Sentiments Strips, Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2, Heart STAX, and Tag Builder Blueprints 3 Die-namics, Diagonal Stripes stencil #mftstamps

Keisha dreamed up a beautiful Valentine's Day design with this sketch by substituting hearts for the three rectangles. The Heart STAX and Tag Builder Blueprints 3 Die-namics make the cutest larger-than-life conversation hearts in pink and red hues.

Handmade card from Keeway Tsao featuring Monster Love stamp set and Die-namics, and Inside & Out Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics #mftstamps

Keeway's fun design features the cheery little monsters from the Monster Love stamp set peeking out of the rectangles in the sketch. I love how the waving monster in the top rectangle draws the eye to the sentiment. So stinking ADORBS!
