The Birthday Project Challenge - You're How Old?

Despite different backgrounds, beliefs, and traditions, one thing we share that unites us and is worth celebrating is the birthday of friends and family. Recognizing the special day of someone you love with a handcrafted card straight from the heart is always a good idea and if stocking your stash with unique birthday designs is on the agenda, have we got the perfect challenge for you!

Our monthly Birthday Project challenge features ideas for getting creative with your birthday card making. Our team is excited to share their ideas, and we’re ALL excited to see how the challenges inspire you!

Sometimes using a numerical representation of the birthday boy or girl’s age is to share in their excitement (four-year-olds LOVE being four!) and sometimes, it’s maybe to rub it in a bit…in a loving way, of course. This month, we're challenging you to come up with interesting ways to feature numbers in your designs — whether recognizing the milestone of a newly-christened teenager, the celebration of hitting the half-century mark, or anything in between (or beyond!) we want to see numbers in play.

MFT products are encouraged, but not required - just make sure to add a number to your birthday project to be eligible! You can enter your cards for this week's challenge in the Inlinkz Link Up at the bottom of this post.

Handmade card by Francine Vuilleme featuring products from My Favorite Things #mftstamps

Francine created a colorful birthday design with a bold, muli-color striped background and her sentiment stamped on either side. She added a stamped giraffe as her focal image and perched the die cut number 8 on his back to personalize it with the recipient's age.

Debbie used the Happy Birthday Candles Die-namics to create an interactive shaker backdrop for the card and added a stamped sentiment strip over top. She then added her die cut age directly on top of the sentiment to personalize her card for a milestone birthday celebration.

Congratulations, Stephanie! You are the randomly selected winner of last month’s Birthday Project challenge.

You can view all the entries for last month’s Birthday Project challenge HERE.

Now, it's your turn. You have until Wednesday, March 20, at noon EST to add your link and be eligible for the prize of $50 in MFT Cash to be spent in the MFT boutique. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

Make sure to add a number to your birthday project to be eligible!  Projects that do not fit the challenge theme may be removed from the challenge entries.
