Add in neutrals like white, black or kraft, but challenge yourself to incorporate all four of the colors.

Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 360

Welcome to another weekly Sketch Challenge!

Turn each inspiring sketch into a mini work of art to add to your stash — you could also add $50 worth of brand new MFT to your collection! Now that is a win-win.

Below you'll find Sketch 360. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher.

MFT products are encouraged, but not required. We just want to see what this week’s sketch inspired you to create!

We're welcoming Nichol back to the Challenge blog today with her take on this week's sketch.

A dimensional frame is a great way to put the focus on a scene. Nichol used the Stitched Mod Rectangle STAX as the foundation for her winter scene and added the same dimension to her critters - a great way to create a cohesive design over the entire card front.

Jody followed the sketch by placing the elements down the right side - 3 Stitched Mod Square STAX die cuts, with gorgeous snowflakes layered on top, stacked together in a beautiful color palette.

Anna added a playful look to her scene by combining the images from the Our Story stamp set with a mischevious yeti peeking out from behind the holiday tree. A folded down corner on the top left reinforces the sketch design and completes her card.

Today, we'd like to shine the spotlight on some awesome projects that have caught our attention in another edition of You've Been Spotted

If you see your project featured, feel free to post this image on your blog and link to this post to show the world that you were spotted by My Favorite Things!

Sou (soumo103)

We love how Sou incorporated a shaker element on her card for the snow under her Ski-sons Greetings bear image. The Square Peek-a-Boo Window frames the scene with a sentiment strip perfectly layered on top.

Tina (tinneke_th)

Tina created a sweet winter landscape featuring the adorable critters from the You Make My Heart Spin stamp set. The die cut Peek-a-Boo Wonky Window in the middle of her design adds a unique touch and really sets the scene as the focal element on her card.

Jessica Bavier

How cute are these Happy Pawlidays dog treats created by Jessica? Such a fun, festive idea for all those furry friends that you encounter over the holidays! :)

Tanja Kabel

Teddy bears and puppies on a card together might be the sweetest thing ever. We love the sweet scene Tanja created - the addition of the bright, multi-color panel over the woodgrain background provides an excellent backdrop for her images.

Jules Romano

An amazing background created with Copic markers and beautifully colored images make for a pretty great holiday card design! We adore this delightful scene created by Jules.

Which design is your favorite this week? Be sure to leave these talented folks some love. And who knows? You might be spotted sometime soon!

Creative Construction with Blueprints - Holiday Tags

MFT_CreativeConstruction_SideBar

We love Blueprints because they take the guesswork out of crafting beautiful cards (and tags!) in quick fashion when we’re short on time or inspiration. We also love them for their versatility and ability to be mixed and matched when we have the time and inspiration to create something truly unique. Our Creative Construction Challenge focuses on these attributes each month, challenging the team to either assemble a card based on one of the provided Blueprints sketches or design an original design combining elements from the featured Blueprints.

Adding a handmade touch is a wonderful way to personalize your thoughtful gifts. Stocking up on holiday tags is a fun, quick, and easy way to prepare for the gift giving season that is about to commence. Join us this month as we look at holiday tags featuring Blueprints.

Handmade tags by Amy Yang featuring products from My Favorite Things #mftstamps

Amy created a festive collection of holiday tags using the various dies found in the Blueprints Tag Builder 6 Die-namics. Each tag features the adorable critters from the Dashing Deer stamp set in bright, non-traditional holiday colors.

Handmade tags by Donna Mikasa featuring products from My Favorite Things #mftstamps

Donna created a trio of holiday gift tags that feature a cheery red color palette complete with a Christmas lip balm surprise inside. These would be great on gifts, tucked inside stockings or hung on the Christmas tree for someone special.

Congratulations, erin t! You are the randomly selected winner of last month’s Blueprints challenge.
