It's hard to believe that we've come to the end of another month here on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog! It's been an exciting May, and we're looking forward to even more fun in the months to come!
Below you'll find Sketch 230. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.
Lovely Lorena Cantó has been such a joy to have as our Guest Designer this month! We are so glad to have had her fun takes on these four sketches.
Lorena's blog Patterned Papered Dreams is a source of inspiration you'll enjoy. Be sure to follow her for die cutting and stamping fun!
Next week we'll introduce our June Guest Designer. We're excited to see what this talented lady will bring to our sketches!
Lorena chose to create a masculine gift bag with this week's sketch. Let's take a look:
Lorena decided to make this assymetrical sketch symmetrical by eliminating the tag and making the bow tie from the Terrific Ties Die-namics represent the circle in the sketch. Her color palette makes this the perfect masculine gift bag.
The Challenge Team never fails to inspire. Let's see what they've been cooking up in their craft rooms!
Alice scooped up a delicious design with the ice cream cone from the Sweet Treats Die-namics as the focal point on this pretty pastel card. The tag and sentiment banner from the sketch make for a cohesive design.
Erin Lee combined cute images from Green Pastures and The Whole Herd on her sweet card. That curvy sentiment banner from Blueprints 25 is just too much fun!
Jill took the tag from the sketch and fashioned a monochromatic inlaid oval for a different approach. That punch of black really makes a statement on this die cut masterpiece.
Miriam replaced the horizontal flag of the sketch with bold orange thread and used the tag as a basis for the sentiment and focal point. The Kraft and Chocolate Brown card stock she chose are the perfect background for the flower she created using Modern Blooms.
Vera sticks pretty closely to the sketch with the tag, the panel, the circle, and the sentiment flag. The fabulous Flamingos Die-namics sure has a lot of legs!
Veronica wraps it all up with a spectrum of ties to create an interesting (and colorful!) background. She chose to feature the main sentiment in the circle using the For the Boys stamp set.
Congratulations, Karli Miranda! You are the randomly selected winner of last week’s sketch challenge. You can view all the entries for last week’s challenge HERE.
