MFT Color Challenge 27

We're here again with another MFT Color Challenge! Join us as we create with this saturated color combination. To learn more about saturation, be sure to visit this post at the My Favorite Things blog.

This challenge features intense hues to inspire you  Blueberry, Peach Bellini, Persimmon, and Green Room.

Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this color combination and be sure to link your project below for a chance at a My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.

Your MFT Challenge & Inspiration Team is here again with six inspiring cards using this color palette. Let's see what has been going on in their creative minds.

Alice got inventive with the Four Way Chevron Cover-Up Die-namics. What a clever way to use just portions of the cover-up to feature the four colors from MFT Color Challenge 27!

Bestest Wishes Card by Alice Wertz featuring the Birthday Wishes & Balloons stamp set and Four Way Chevron Cover-Up Die-namics #mftstamps
Erin Lee created a mug full of fresh poppies and layed them against a neutral striped background. I love how she situated the stripes horizontally to give the mug a place to rest. It almost appears like it's sitting on the kitchen windowsill.

Mug of Flowers Card by Erin Lee Schreiner featuring the Pretty Poppies stamp set, and the Poppies and Leaves and Mason Jar Mug Die-namics #mftstamps

Jill used the Fringe Die-namics to feature the colors, and her ingenious use of the Stitched Basic Edges Die-namics adds a subtle curve to the fringe. The only neutral she used was gold and a tiny bit of white stitching giving this design a super saturated look.

Gold Star Card by Jill Dewey Hawkins featuring the Laina Lamb Designs Count the Stars stamp set and the Stitched Basic Edges and Fringe Die-namics #mftstamps

Miriam took the two shades of orange as a chance to create pretty flowers with the Scribble Roses stamp set and Die-namics. The Green Room leaves are a logical next step, and the orange flowers look perfect on a Blueberry background — the complementary color of orange. Well played!

Hello Love Card by Miriam Prantner featuring the Miss Tiina I Love You More stamp set and the Lisa Johnson Designs Scribble Roses stamp set and Scribble Roses and Scribble Roses Overlay Die-namics #mftstamps
Vera created SUCH a pretty background by using the four colors in conjunction with the Blissful Blooms stamp set. The jaunty angle of the sentiment gives this card a fresh and unexpected look.

Best Wishes Card by Vera Wirianta Yates featuring the Brushstroke BIrthday and Blissful Blooms stamp sets #mftstamps

Veronica shows another SUPER inventive way to create using the Four Way Chevron Cover-Up. Once she die cut the background, she stamped on it to give it some depth, and then she eliminated the negative portions of the die. Next she layered it over a rectangle in her signature layering style. Top it all of with a pretty butterfly and lush roses, and the colors become the star of the show!

Thinking of You Friend Card by Veronica Zalis featuring the Lisa Johnson Designs Spring Tulips stamp set, Flutter of Butterflies - Lace and Solid and Four Way Chevron Cover-Up Die-namics, and the Lisa Johnson Designs Scribble Roses and Scribble Roses Overlay Die-namics #mftstamps

  2. Hee hee... I noticed the "jaunty" WOD too! Such a fabulous color combo. It reminds me so much of Fiesta Ware. I think perhaps the addition of the Fiesta Teal and Fiesta Lime would make it complete! I particularly love Erin Lee's trendy peach stripes with the poppy mug and Miriam's blue background that is such a powerful contrast against the white doily. Yummy!
