October is coming to an end, but the fun on this blog will NEVER stop! So join us for another fantastic and totally versatile sketch!
Our October guest designer Jocelyn Olson has been such a joy this month, don't you agree? You can catch more of her super cute designs by following her blog Red Balloon Cards.
By the way, do you follow this blog, too? We'd love to have you along for the ride. You just never know when something fun will pop up here.
Next month we'll be welcoming another savvy card maker who's been around for a while. We can't wait to welcome her and see what she makes!
Let's see what sort of innovative way Jocelyn interpreted Sketch 252:
Jocelyn says she was laughing the whole time she made this card, and what could be better than that? She places one of our summery Flamingos in a snowy scene for a fun pastel take on a holiday card. Wrapped in a scarf amidst some Snow Drifts (sitting in for the stripes of the sketch), the flamingo simply preens in her frozen environment.
The Challenge Team is at it again with inspiring creations. Let's see how they interpreted Sketch 252!
Jill stirs up a pretty design in pink with the help of the Stay Cool stamp set and Cool Cup Die-namics as her focal point. By using only a portion of the Snow Drifts Cover-Up Die-namics and strips of pink and gray card stocks, she creates a frothy take on the stripes in the sketch. And with a few flicks of ink, there's a fun splatter to match the sketch.
Miriam places her focal point on the left side rather than the right for a different look with this versatile sketch. Her color choices are more muted making this a card that might be fitting for one of the guys in your life. I especially love the subtle trees she stamped in the background for some depth without bulk.
Vera enlarges the circle and cuts it off to fit her focal point elf. Instead of stripes, she creates the lines in the sketch with the English Brick Wall stencil. A few well placed sequins, and this sweet Christmas card is ready to be sent!

Veronica refreshing card features the Soda Pop stamp set and Soda Pop Bottles Die-namics as well as three papers from the Farm Fresh Gingham Paper Pack. Her added elements of the sparkly circle, background stamping, and enamel dots all lead to a vibrant and original design.
