Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 271

You know what's cool about March? Daylight is getting longer and longer which gives us an excuse to craft EVEN longer, right? Grab this versatile sketch and make a bunch of great cards for any theme.

Below you'll find Sketch 271. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.

It's great to have Amy Tsuruta as our Guest Designer this month!
Let's see how Amy interpreted this week's sketch with us:

Heart of Gold Card by Amy Tsuruta featuring the Kinds Thanks stamp set and Twice the Thanks Die-namics #mftstamps
Amy turns Sketch 271 on its side for her design this week. The long-ish sentiment from the Kind Thanks stamp set fits well horizontally. I love how she made the thin line of the sketch sparkly gold to match the sentiment.

The My Favorite Things Creative Team has been busy getting creative! Let's see what they have up their sleeves for Sketch 271!

Out of This World Card by Francine Vuillème featuring the Out of This World stamp set #mftstamps

Francine tipped the sketch on its side as well making the perfect trajectory for the planet hurtling through space. Her inspired use of the Out of This World stamp set is, well, out of this world!

For Being You Card by Inge Groot featuring the Distressed Patterns and Kinds Thanks stamp sets and the Twice the Thanks and Blueprints 23 Die-namics #mftstamps

Inge takes a sophisticated approach to the sketch with layered card stock banners and patterned paper as a backdrop to the up front and center sentiment created with the Kind Thanks stamp set and the Twice the Thanks Die-namics. Super chic!

Thank You Kindly Card by Julia Stainton featuring the Lisa Johnson Designs Delicate Pretty Poppies stamp set and the Flutter of Butterflies - Lace and Blueprints 13 Die-namics #mftstamps

Julia concocts a deliciously feminine card featuring the Flutter of Butterflies - Lace Die-namics. A few cool things to note about her card — the thin Grout Gray line is inset adding some depth, the butterfly is die cut from the panel on the left adding dimension, and the center of the butterfly hits the seam of the pink and grey lines for a well-balanced design.

Floral Celebrate Card by Kay Miller featuring the Mini Modern Blooms stamp set and Die-namics and the Accent It - Celebrate and Lisa Johnson Designs Scribble Roses Overlay Die-namics #mftstamps

In the sketch, you'll see stars, but those can be replaced with just about anything like the flowers the Kay chose from the Mini Modern Blooms stamp set and Die-namics. She adds a punch of striped paper as the grounding line of the sketch and tops it off with a sentiment that creates the line. Well played, Kay!

Anything for You Card by Keisha Campbell featuring the Distressed Patterns and Lisa Johnson Designs Delicate Pretty Poppies stamp sets, the Geometric Grid Background stamp, and the Flutter of Butterflies - Solid, Vertical Stitched Strips and Pierced Fishtail Flag STAX Die-namics #mftstamps

Keisha sees the stars in the sketch as butterflies, and she adds coordinating colors behind each creature using the Distressed Patterns stamp set. The Geometric Grid Background stamp adds interest to the rectangular panel on the right.

Kitty Thoughts Card by Stephanie Klauck featuring the Birdie Brown I Knead You stamp set and Die-namics and the Paw Print Background stamp #mftstamps

Stephanie's card base is bare bringing all of the focus to the vertical panel. The Paw Prints Background stamp provides a sweet setting for the wishful kitty from the I Knead You stamp set. The tiny touches of silver add a freshness to her whimsical design.
