Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 281

A friendly hello to all of you from the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration blog! It's always so nice to have you visit.

Below you'll find Sketch 281. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.

The My Favorite Things Creative Team has been busy getting creative! Let's see what they have up their sleeves for Sketch 281!

You Amaze Me Card by Karin Åkesdotter featuring Lucky and Lisa Johnson Designs Whimsical Greetings stamp sets, and Puffy Clouds, Sunny Skies, Grassy Fields, Traditional Tags STAX, and Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics #mftstamps

The circle of the sketch prompted Karin to incorporate a sweet smiling sun in the middle of her cheery design. Set against a perky pink striped patterned paper, the clouds and grass add to this sunny card.

Feels Like Home Card by Anna Kossakovskaya featuring Lisa Johnson Designs Make Yourself at Home stamp set and Die-namics, Inside & Out Stitched Rectangle STAX and Blueprints 27 Die-namics #mftstamps

Anna eliminated the circle and used a comfy couch from the Make Yourself at Home stamp set and Die-namics as the focal point of her design. The couch has a certain roundness to it! Such a simple, yet effective design that you could feel comfortable giving to the man in your life.

Hello Sunshine Card by Kay Miller featuring the Blissful Blooms, Tiki Party, and Birdie Brown Polynesian Paradise stamp sets and Die-namics, Garden Flourish Background stamp, and Sentiment Strips and Stitched Circle Frames Die-namics #mftstamps

Such a summery design Kay created with the circle as a resting point for pretty flowers from the Blissful Blooms stamp set and a friendly creature from the Polynesian Paradise stamp set. The Garden Flourish Background stamp give the background extra detail and interest.

Join me in welcoming back Rubeena Naz as our Guest Designer this month!

Let's see how Rubeena interpreted this week's sketch:

Breath of Fresh Air Card by Rubeena Naz featuring Warm & Fuzzy Friends stamp set #mftstamps

Rubeena switched up the orientation of the sketch putting the banner at the top rather than the bottom. While there is no circle in her design, the cute critter from the Warm & Fuzzy Friends stamp set is basking in a somewhat circular glow from the fire, and she framed up the scene just like the sketch.

Perfect Pair Card by Julie Dinn featuring Snuggle Bunnies stamp set and Die-namics, and Stitched Rectangle Frames Circle STAX Set 1 Blueprints 2, Blueprints 11, and Blueprints 28 Die-namics #mftstamps

Sweet Snuggle Bunny and his bear friend dominate this adorable design from Julie. I love her soft patterned paper choices giving this scene a wallpaper feel. Such a darling interpretation of sketch 281!

Stuck with You Card by Jodi Collins featuring Laina Lamb Design Sweet Succulents stamp set and Die-namics, Fine Chevron Background stamp, and Stitched Circle STAX, Stitched Rectangle STAX, Blueprints 2, and Blueprints 13 Die-namics #mftstamps

Sweet Succulents shine on Jodi's sunny design. The background she created with the Fine Chevron Background stamp perfectly complements the desert flower atop the middlemost flora. Her coloring is quite impressive, don't you agree?

Colorful Friend Card by Barbara Anders featuring Rainbow Greetings stamp set and End of the Rainbow and Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics #mftstamps

Whenever you see a circle in a sketch, it's likely you may envision a shaker card like Barbara did. The End of the Rainbow Die-namics gets an extra shot of glimmer and sparkle with seed beads and sequins. This card exudes HAPPY!
