The Birthday Project - Up, Up, and Away

Despite different backgrounds, beliefs, and traditions, one thing we share that unites us and is worth celebrating is the birthday of friends and family. Recognizing the special day of someone you love with a handcrafted card straight from the heart is always a good idea and if stocking your stash with unique birthday designs is on the agenda, have we got the perfect challenge for you!

Our monthly Birthday Project challenge features ideas for getting creative with your birthday card making. Our team is excited to share their ideas, and we’re ALL excited to see how the challenges inspire you!

Few things say “birthday” like a beautiful bouquet of balloons. For this month’s challenge, focus on a single bobbing balloon or cover your card in copious amounts of colorful images or die cuts.

A cow floating through the sky on a string of balloons is sure to brighten anyone's day! Francine created a billowy backdrop of clouds and added her focal images with foam adhesive for some added dimension. We love how she stamped her sentiment onto her puffy clouds to complete her greeting.

Julie created a trio of cross-stitched balloons on her card and framed them up perfectly with the Blueprints 32 Die-namics. The stitching adds a handmade feel to the card that any recipient would love and appreciate!

Congratulations, Valliam! You are the randomly selected winner of last month’s Birthday Project challenge.
