Welcome to a another fun Monday edition live from the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Blog! Today we have another bonus sketch in conjunction with PageMaps.
Since 2006, PageMaps has been providing sketches for scrapbookers and card makers alike. As you know, a sketch can be just the kickstart you need to feel inspired and creative.
Below you'll find the April PageMap sketch created exclusively for the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20.
We invited members of the Challenge Team and the My Favorite Things Design Team to interpret the PageMaps CardMap . Let's see what they saw when they looked at the sketch.
When it comes to sketches, it's all about inspiration! Challenge Team member Alice Wertz features the floral portion of the sketch on the left, but that's about it. Her use of the Precious Polaroid Die-namics is the perfect place to showcase her adorable focal image.
Design Team member Barbara Anders on the other hand takes the sketch literally, from the three panels, butterfly, and four arrows in place of the postage stamp shapes in the sketch.
Challenge Team member Erin Lee Schreiner has a modern take on the sketch with bright colors and sophisticated black. What a fun way to use the Photo Booth Props Die-namics!
Design Team member Jodi Collins squares up the sketch, too, and makes the four postage stamps into a grid. It's the perfect place to highlight these yummy cupcakes from the You're the Sweetest stamp set and Dienamics.
Challenge Team member Miriam Prantner took a vertical approach to the sketch in this soft and pretty card. She admits to having a bit of a crush on Grout Gray card stock!
Design Team member Stephanie Klauck uses the three panels and button with twine of the sketch, but she wrangles the postage stamps into a banner. So much fun!
Design Team member Teri Anderson takes the sketch quite literally but gives it a playful edge with citrusy color choices and bold stars rather than flowers and a butterfly.
Challenge Team member Vera Wirianta Yates saw the three postage stamps in the sketch as the perfect opportunity to create this cutie pie spring card. I love that she uses images from three different stamp sets!
