A Fond Farewell to 2015 and the Challenge & Inspiration Team

It's hard to believe that 364 days ago this blog began with the promise of challenges and inspiration for everyone all tied up with a pretty My Favorite Things bow. The MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog became an extension of the already established Wednesday Sketch and MFT Color Challenges, and thanks to YOU, it is a rousing success.

We're excited to keep the momentum going in 2016 with more of what you love: challenges, inspiration, stellar product, connections with creative friends, and of course, prizes! The My Favorite Things Design Team will be sharing their amazing talents here on the MFT C & I blog in the coming year, and I can assure you that it will be AWESOME!

As the MFT Design Team takes the helm, we'd like to say a fond farewell to the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Team. They've created 52 sketch challenge projects, 24 color challenge projects, celebrated a STELLAR World Card Making Day, participated in many MFT promotions, and commented on a gazillion blog posts. We even welcomed a challenge team baby in June in the form of wee little Quinn Schreiner! They are some pretty fabulous ladies.

To celebrate the team, I want to share two of my favorite projects from each designer as we bid them and 2015 adieu:

Alice Wertz - Northern California - Alice's Little Wonderland

Alice is known for her expertise in coloring. I am always amazed with what she can do with a set of markers! This was Alice's card for Sketch 227.

For Sketch 242, Alice wielded her markers again, but this time she showed her softer, more feminine side with her trademark doily and washi tape. Just lovely.

Erin Lee Schreiner - Dallas, TX, Y'all - Erin Lee Creative

Erin created this card in an answer to Sketch 259 (not that long ago). This card embodies her eye-catching and feminine style.

For MFT Color Challenge 26, Erin Lee whipped up this stunner. Bold, intense, sophisticated. Quintessential Erin Lee.

Jill Dewey Hawkins - Suburban Chicago - Fastest Turtle

Jill is an absolute whiz when it comes to die cutting! Her use of the MFT Die-namics was a definite source of inspiration for many of us this year. This card she created for Sketch 218 is one of my faves for sure.

For Sketch 234 Jill created this gorgeous card! Here she paired painstaking inlaid die cutting with an unexpected color combination and magnificent use of the Roses All Over background (one of my favorite stamps released this year!).

Miriam Prantner - Washington, DC Area - Sooner Rather Than Later

Miriam is always coming up with something OH so clever. For Sketch 211 she concocted this hilarious card using the oval of the sketch as a face. SO fun! And masculine cards are always such a challenge for many of us.

For MFT Color Challenge 22, Miriam went bold and kitschy with the help of Blueprints 25 and the Laina Lamb Design Stay Tuned stamp set and Television Die-namics. Those swoops of color with the little stamped accents are just simply awesome!

Vera Wirianta Yates - Southern Texas - Ling's Design Studio

Vera has a serious lock on fun and cute cards. There isn't an adorable animal she doesn't like making MFT a perfect fit for her! I love this card she created for Sketch 241. Her coloring skills are pretty amazing!

Color Challenge 21 prompted Vera to create this delicious card. I love the angle and the delightful detail she added to the wings of the pretty flamingos

Veronica Zalis - Hot Springs, AR - So Many Stamps So Little Time

Veronica is the master of pretty, feminine, and layered. Every one of her designs is laden with so many wonderful details that I could look at them for hours! She created this lovely card for Color Challenge 16.

And this one from Veronica is just DIVINE! Even though there is plenty of white space on this card that she created for Color Challenge 26, she still manages to add lots of layers and interest with background stamping and Die-namics.

And so we say farewell to 2015 and the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Team. Thank you for 52 weeks of absolute inspiration, ladies! We wish you well in everything that you do!

Here's to a creative and FUN 2016!
