You've Been Spotted - October 6, 2015 and WCMD winners!

Each week we see fantastic projects featuring My Favorite Things product, and we're always so thrilled to see what our customers and followers are creating!

Today, we'd like to shine the spotlight on some awesome projects that have caught our attention in another edition of  You've Been Spotted. Sit a spell and get ready to ooooooh and aaaaah over some of the cool designs we've noticed recently.

If you see your project featured, feel free to post this image on your blog and link to this post to show the world that you were spotted by My Favorite Things!

This week, we are featuring a whole slew of cards that caught our eye in our recent Card Design Superstar contest. The ten winners were announced last week on the My Favorite Things blog, but with 654 entries, you can bet there were a lot of fantastic designs!

Bhavana Kesarkar

Challenge Team Member Jill Dewey Hawkins spotted Bhavana's card. Jill says, "I think the black is unexpected and makes for an awesome backdrop for these fun flowers!" Yep, the Scribble Roses Overlay Die-namics do indeed look delightful!

Courtney Kelley

Challenge Team Member Alice Wertz spotted Courtney's cute and seasonal creation. Alice says, "Definitely too cute to spook! Love the brick wall background, too!" A very fun use of our Trick or Treat stamp set.

Kerin Sylvester

Design Team Member Julie Dinn spotted Kerin's happy card. Julie says, "Love the pop of colours and the clean and simple look." What a fun way to use the Birthday Balloons Die-namics!

Masha

Challenge Team Member Vera Wirianta Yates spotted Masha's sweet fall card. Vera says, "I love this card by Masha. She did great coloring on the leaves with the distress ink, and I love the way she arranged the leaves with the squirrel on top." That squirrel from the Cute Critters set is just too much fun!

Natasha Kara

I spotted Natasha's card, and oh my goodness, it is a beautiful sight! As a newbie to coloring, I'm feeling very inspired to practice a whole lot more! The Blissful Blooms set seems to come alive on her card, and the bold sentiment is the perfect complement for the riot of gorgeous flora.

Nina-Marie Trapini

MFT Founder Kim van der Sanden spotted Nina-Marie's masterpiece. She loved the coloring, the jaunty angle, the amazing sky, and those super fun sequins standing in as coconuts! Fantastic work with the Penguins in Paradise set, Nina!

Paula Spagnuolo

I spotted Paula's card, and how absolutely RAD is it? Her bold color choices and the cut she made on the front of the card base to make the inside show is just awesome. It just goes to show that the Abstract Art stamp set is super fun and versatile.

Ruby Naz

MFT Social Media Maven Erica Hernandez spotted this pretty card by Ruby. Erica says, "LOVE the loose coloring and ink splatters. Nice use of the patterned paper strip down the edge." Ruby's strong sentiment from the Friends Like Us stamp set looks delightful atop the Blissful Blooms.

Tobi Crawford

Design Team Member Teri Anderson spotted Tobi's striking card. Teri says, "I really like the background Tobi made! And her raised circle is a great idea." Tobi's use of the Count the Stars stamps and Die-namics is out of this world!

Victoriya Salmina

Challenge Team Member Miriam Prantner spotted this sweet card by Vika. Miriam loved the little scene that Vika created. Those sweet kitties from the I Knead You set fit perfectly with the theme of this card.

Cheers to the New Year Card by Susan R. Opel featuring the Hand Lettered Holiday stamp set and the Layered Champagne Glass and Blueprints 25 Die-namics #mftstamps #wcmd2015
I'm not sure how many people actually send cards to celebrate the new year, but I'd like to make a toast to doing just that! The brand new Hand Lettered Holiday stamp set includes a New Year's sentiment, and that got me excited to use the Layered Champagne Glass Die-namics for the first time. With a touch of gold foil and bold and festive colors (inspired by a dress I saw in Glamour magazine), I loved making this celebratory greeting. Let me be the first to wish you an amazing 2016!

Happy World Card Making Day! - 6 pm EDT - Alice

Happy World  Card Making Day!

Since I love geography, we'll be seeing the Challenge Team throughout the day based on their location in the United States from east to west! Say hello to Alice Wertz who lives furthest west in the greater San Francisco area.

This is the eighth of nine posts on this blog today (every two hours from 4 am EDT to 8 pm EDT) where the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Team and our October Guest Designer will share Christmas and holiday cards and tips.

On each post, we'll be offering AWESOME prizes including My Favorite Things holiday favorites from the past as well as brand spanking new products from the October release that won't be available until next Tuesday. Here's a look at Alice's card!

Merry Little Santa Card by Alice Wertz featuring the Birdie Brown Jingle All the Way stamp set, Gift Tag Greetings stamp set, and Tag Builder Blueprints 4 Die-namics #mftstamps #wcmd2015
Let's see what Alice has to say about her card:

"Since I rarely use tags, I wanted to see if I could use the elements from the new Tag Builder Blueprints 4  Die-namics on a card. It turns out that the smaller shapes that are supposed to create the windows for the shaker tags are perfect for a fun layout!"

And Alice is so right. Your dies can do so many things; you just have to stretch your imagination!

Happy World Card Making Day! - 4 pm EDT - Erin Lee

Happy World  Card Making Day!

Since I love geography, we'll be seeing the Challenge Team throughout the day based on their location in the United States from east to west! Say hello to Erin Lee Schreiner, a Kansas native living in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

This is the seventh of nine posts on this blog today (every two hours from 4 am EDT to 8 pm EDT) where the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Team and our October Guest Designer will share Christmas and holiday cards and tips.

On each post, we'll be offering AWESOME prizes including My Favorite Things holiday favorites from the past as well as brand spanking new products from the October release that won't be available until next Tuesday. Yep, this is your chance for a sneak peek! Details for how you can get your to chance to win can be found later on in this post.

Take a look at Erin Lee's fun card!
Winter Scene Shaker Card by Erin Lee Schreiner featuring the Winter Wonderland stamp set and Die-namics, Stitched Arc STAX and Stitched Mountain Range Die-namics #mftstamps #wcmd2015
Let's see what sort of tips Erin Lee has to offer:

"Creating a shaker scene is so easy with the brand new Winter Wonderland set. There are so many little choices for creating your own village! I die cut, stamped, and colored all of the pieces, and then determined which pieces I wanted to use by laying them in the space I had created for my shaker. I didn't use them all, so I saved the rest in a storage pocket for my next card!"

Great idea, Erin Lee!
